[alf-dev] Build Vocab Meeting and Minutes
|
Title: Build Vocab Meeting and
Minutes
The next conf call, is Monday 7/31 - 1PM CDT.
Phone Number: 1-913-227-1219
Pass Code: 908088
Topic: What does Build mean in terms of a Use Case?
Minutes from last meeting -
A. Discussed "Build Change Request" Use Case
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/ALF/Build_Use_Cases
and determined that most Use Cases fall into the following
template:
1. Change Request, Requirement, Tracking Tool, etc
initiates Build
2. SCM prepares build workspace area
3. Build takes place
4. SCM handles build results, output.
5. Change Request, Requirement, Tracking Tool, etc notified
of Build results
The Build Use Cases are assuming that a Service Flow or
combination of
Service Flows will prepare the Build Area/SCM workspace prior to
the Build
Service Flow being initiated.
Also we are assuming that post Service Flows would be initiated
by the ALF Event Manager
upon the raising of a Build Complete Event.
Details still need to be worked out on what Build Results (ie,
executables and logging information)
are communicated to the other Service Flows. This detail
will be address when the vocabulary
is defined.
Thanks, Steve
