[ajdt-dev] Summary of AJDT Plug-in Development Meeting (2002-09-12)

DECISIONS
* Licenses permitting, we will bundle draw2d.jar with AJDT in order to minimize the impact of the Visualizer's GEF dependency. This will require a conversation with IBM lawyers, so 0.5.2 is now tentatively scheduled for September 18th.

* Email Philip back asking for more info on JS-45-related work. (Adrian)
* Post first round of search UI discussion to eclipse.technology.ajdt. (Julie)
* When 0.5.2 is released update the download page to acknowledge that we're using/redistributing a part of GEF. (Mik)
* Commit the new gutter annotation icon. (Mik)

NEAR-TERM DEVELOPMENT TASKS
* Explore debugging support and implement a JS-45 contribution/patch for Eclipse. (Adrian)
* Extend the gutter annotation UI to match or improve on the support currently available in AJDE for JBuilder. (Andy)
* Prototype the "AspectJ Search" UI. (Julie)
* Provide support for integrated help. Explore distributing potential Developer Works articles as help docs. (Adrian & Julie)

* Ant-based build configurations (design work involved)
* Code formatting for pointcuts (formatting API is proposed to change for 2.1)
* Navigator view (requires new AspectJ APIs)

* Aspect visualizer improvements (low priority)
