Re: [agail-dev] Question regarding LwM2M support and wrong Overview Presentation link

Hi Csaba,

Thank you very much for this information. Can you point me to any more updated tech stack, so I can have a look at currently supported protocols and standards?
Also, looking over the Guide for Applicants, I can see that one of the goals it to:

In call 2 we are specifically looking for companies that will contribute code back to the Agile IoT solution by providing code to interface with other IoT solutions. Some examples of functionalities:
  • extending the Agile platform with support for additional device protocols or with libraries implementing device support
  • proving interoperability with IoT cloud platforms or standards
  • partial integration with components from other open source gateway software stacks, similar to how the Agile IOT consortium does this with Eclipse Kura.
Could you please point me to this integration between Agile IoT and Eclipse Kura?
Would you consider a partial integration with Leshan's LwM2M Device Discovery + Bootstrap a valid and interesting proposal when paired with a new contributed Use Case? This is what we're currently envisioning for the upcoming Open Call and would like to take this opportunity to do a simple pre-feasibility check.

I'm writing these questions here as per the Open Call's dedicated web page - If there is any other more suitable communication channel we should be using, please let me know.

Also, the overview presentation is still missing. If you can share this, it would be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Hi Pedro,

Regarding protocols, what you cite seems to be very outdated information, there is no Alljoyn or oneM2M support currently. Unfortunately it seems that it remained there from some early discussions. On the device side, what we support is BLE, ZigBee, 802.15.4, and we are working on LoRa and LoRaWAN. There is also some code available for Iotivity, but not yet fully functional. LwM2M is not currently supported, but we are looking forward for new protocol implementation if they are being proposed.

Best regards,
Csaba

Hi everyone,

We are in the process of reviewing the Guide for Applicants for the 2nd Agile IoT Open Call but we could not find any information regarding currently-supported IoT standards. We've found only a reference to AllJoyn and oneM2M in https://github.com/Agile-IoT/Architecture/tree/master/Logical. As per the Guide for Applicants, we are thinking of expanding the Agile platform while also contributing with a different use case, clearly identifying the outcomes of such developed product (using current Agile modules combined with the newly integrated IoT standard). However, we can not really understand if LwM2M is already supported.

Also, in the open call's dedicated page, under the Call Material section, both manual and presentation items are linking to the same file (Guide for Applicants). It would be of great value to have access to the Overview Presentation.

Thank you all very much.

Best regards,
