3.1RC1

I openned a .java file and saw red errors in the vertial rulers, although 
there were not errors reported in the explorer/outline/problems view. Will 
attach screen shot.

Closing/re-opening the editor made the problems go away.

Correct - there were no errors in the file, and no errors should have been 
displayed.

Is this reproducible?
Was the editor open while performing some build path changes or importing plug-ins?

Cannot reproduce. I had just started the workspace, and it was the first file 
I had opened.
