Description Shai Bentin CLA 2005-05-17 14:09:12 EDT
This is a big problem. Its probably already reported so forgive if its a dup,
however it exists since 3.1M6 and up and still not fixed.

I don't see any appearant logic for this but during coding I suddenly get an
error that some kind of class that is referenced cannot be resolved. I even got
this on java.lang.object. When this happens I loose code completion on all
classes in the workspace and the only way to resolve this is to restart eclipse.

finding classes still work, outline still works...

this makes eclipse unusable!!!

Could you please try to describe what you are doing? Steps to reproduce?
Comment 2 Shai Bentin CLA 2005-05-17 17:18:45 EDT
Thats whats hard. It happens while I'm working, without having any consistancy
to it.

BTW, I wrote that the only way to clear this was to restart - I was wrong. I
found another way, may be that would be a clue. If I go to any one of the
imports and do code completion after the last dot, select the class I want to
import again (afterwhich erasing the same className that was there before) and
the error is cleared and problem is gone, until next time.

Please reopen if you can still reproduce it in latest, and then provide steps to
recreate.

As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
