Quite a few open source projects are being developed using netbeans.

It would be nice if Eclipse could "import" those projects by reading the
settings files and generating appropriate Eclipse files.

Is there any ongoing discussions or work regarding adding this feature to JDT?  

I have recently run into a few projects built with Netbeans and have had to resort to loading up Netbeans to get the job done instead of spending time to get the project to build properly in Eclipse.
