Description Douglas Pollock CLA 2005-04-15 14:51:58 EDT
I20050414-1107, GTK+ 2.6.2, KDE 3.3.2, Linux 2.6.10, X.org 6.8.2

I checked out "org.eclipse.ui.workbench.texteditor" from CVS. I opened
AbstractTextEditor using the "Open Type" dialog. Then, after running into
problems, I deleted the project and contents on disk. I then tried to import
the project with source (external plug-in). Now, when I open the "Open Type"
dialog, AbstractTextEditor appears with two identical locations. Trying to
select it leads to an error dialog saying "Could not uniquely map the type name
to a type".

Note, that I get an extraneous entry just by deleting the project.
Comment 2 Dirk Baeumer CLA 2005-04-16 10:27:30 EDT
Sounds like a problem in search for all types names which is used to populate
the all types cache of the open type dialog.
Comment 3 Frederic Fusier CLA 2005-04-21 04:08:01 EDT
I also get it on WinXP box...
Comment 4 Frederic Fusier CLA 2005-05-16 08:15:14 EDT
Cannot reproduce with 3.1 M7.
It seems that changes done either in Open Type dialog or in Search All Types
Names have fixed it.
Closed as FIXED adn set target to 3.1 RC1 in order to verify it...
