Description Subir Vasanth CLA 2005-04-12 13:26:00 EDT
Build: 3.1M6

The delete key stops functioning while using eclipse. If one closes and starts
eclipse the delete key starts working again. I am not sure what I did, or the
sequence of steps that lead to this, but it did happen to me 5-6 times since I
started using eclipse 3.1M6.

Let me know if you need any log files or details of the configuration I am
using.

Moving to JDT/UI
Comment 2 Dani Megert CLA 2005-04-13 06:28:44 EDT
- is it the 'Delete' or the backspace key?
- once the key stops working,
  - does the key still work in other Eclipse editors, e.g. Text editor?
  - does the key still work in Eclipse dialogs?
  - does close and reopen the Java editor fix the problem?

Please reopen the bug report after providing above info together with the .log file.

Where can I find the .log file? Sorry, I am not too familiar with the Eclipse
internals?

Get rid of deprecated state.
