Description Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2005-03-18 10:49:54 EST
Currently "Quick fix" drop down require to scroll down throught the list of
suggestion using "up"/"down" keys. It will be a very poverful productivity
feature to enable shortcuts for the items (e.g. 1-9, A-Z), so user can push
Ctrl-1, 3 keys to select 3rd item in the list.
Comment 1 Dirk Baeumer CLA 2005-03-18 13:13:04 EST
I forward this to text since IMO such a support should go into the text editor
infrastructure.
Comment 2 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2005-05-03 22:31:17 EDT
Is there are any chance that this feature will be implemented for 3.1 release?
Comment 3 Martin Aeschlimann CLA 2005-05-04 02:52:02 EDT
We just a similar kind of feature (> 20050502): you can assign keyboard
shortcuts to some chose quick fixex or assist. In that case you wouldn't see the
selection dialog anymore, the quick fix is directly invoked.
Comment 4 Dani Megert CLA 2005-05-08 16:31:50 EDT
The requested feature is more general since it does not require to register each
quick fix/assist as a command and won't make it into 3.1.
Comment 5 Eugene Kuleshov CLA 2005-05-08 16:48:07 EDT
That's bad. I thought it will be easy to implement such generic functionality
because it doesn't even have dependency on quickfixes, but purely dropdown ui.

This feature would be great!

I find it quite inconvenient to have to remember the, say, Ctrl-2-R quick fix.
It would be much more convenient and intuitive to be able to Ctrl-1 into the
quick fix drop down, and then press R to execute the quick fix.
