Description Javier Kohen CLA 2005-01-26 02:36:07 EST
Since I upgraded to a pure 64-bit system I began experiencing constant crashes
in Eclipse. Apparently they are related to the editor somehow.

I'll post the hs_err_pid files generated by Blackdown Java 1.4.2-01 and Sun's
Java 1.5.0-01 in my next two comments.

Please let me know if there's a workaround that I can apply to avoid that piece
of code for now.

I have also been experiencing crashes on amd64. I have tried it with sun,
blackdown, and IBM and all three crash. Please do not dismiss this as a VM
problem. If three seperate virtual machines all cause it to crash, I would say
the problem is not with the VM but instead is a problem either with eclipse or
maybe with gtk. Either way, please look into this further or else it will never
get fixed. Thanks.
