Description Andrew Newton CLA 2004-07-21 16:59:44 EDT
Sometimes Eclipse refuses to get back focus after dismissing a quickfix window by just closing the
quick fix window (not taking any quick fix action). The only way to recover is to use the "Eclipse" menu
item to quit Eclipse.
Comment 1 Dani Megert CLA 2004-07-23 06:22:29 EDT
How do you close the quick fix window?
Which build?

Internal notes:

>"Eclipse" menu item to quit Eclipse.
means: click top-left Eclipse icon > Close (Alt+F4)

André: have you seen this? Can you reproduce on R3.0 or newer?
Comment 2 Andrew Newton CLA 2004-07-23 09:39:42 EDT
Hitting escape closes the quickfix window.

The "Eclipse" menu item is that application specific menu item on Mac OS X that is to the left of the File
menu item and just to the right of the apple logo menu item.

If you say "sometimes" this is not reproducible, right? Do you see a pattern?

>Hitting escape closes the quickfix window.
I know ;-) But there are other ways this window closes that's why I asked back.

That's what I explained in comment 1 ;-)
means: click top-left Eclipse icon > Close

It does not happen all the time. It use to be very reproducible under M7. Under 3.0, I've had it happen
twice. However, I just tried to do it and couldn't get the problem to show up. I'll continue trying to see
if there is a pattern that emerges.
Comment 5 Andre Weinand CLA 2004-07-26 04:52:22 EDT
I've never heard of this problem before (neither in M7 nor in 3.0).
Comment 6 Dani Megert CLA 2004-07-26 09:12:54 EDT
marking as REMIND until we have some reproducible scenario
Comment 7 Dani Megert CLA 2007-06-22 09:59:12 EDT
