before 20011218 input

1 create a java project
2. rename in the navigator
3. note - it's NOT renamed in the package viewer
4. close the package viewer
5. open it again
the project is gone

Closing the package view has no effect on the JavaModel. 
You need to close/reopen the offending project from the navigator to see it 
reappearing.

But anyway, this seems like a duplicate of 7029
