Description Hanna Farah CLA 2004-06-15 13:46:17 EDT
In Package Explorer, a user cannot drag and drop a linked resource (pointing
to a file) into a Java package. However, if the user copies and pastes the
linked resource into the package, the file that the resource points to will be
copied into the package. In Navigator, the paste option is disabled in the pop-
up menu which should be the same for Package Explorer.

Not critical since the package explorer copies the content of the file, so no
harm is caused to the link.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

In 4.12 move and copy of the link works in the Navigator, which I think is the correct behavior.

Project and Package Explorer should do the same.
