Below are steps to reproduce.

 1. Launch eclipse copy shared path and paste the same as workspace path eg(\\shareddrive\shareddrive\abc\USERS\ABC\demo3\).
2. create a plugin project and a feature project, add plugin project as dependency.
3. Right click on Feature Project and Export -> Deployable plugin-ins and fragment.
4. Feature is not exported but we get below error while exporting.

\\\\shareddrive\shareddrive\abc\USERS\ABC\demo3\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.pde.core\temp\org.eclipse.pde.container.feature\compile.org.eclipse.pde.container.feature.xml:4: Basedir \\shareddrive\shareddrive\abc\USERS\ABC\demo3\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.pde.core\temp\org.eclipse.pde.container.feature\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\SHAREDDRIVE\shareddrive\abc\USERS\ABC\demo3\testVDI does not exist
Basedir \\shareddrive\shareddrive\abc\USERS\ABC\demo3\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.pde.core\temp\org.eclipse.pde.container.feature\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\..\SHAREDDRIVE\shareddrive\abc\USERS\ABC\demo3\testVDI does not exist


Note: This was working in eclipse 4.4.1.
