Sometimes a cherry-pick can fail see for example https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=567133

I think it would be nice (if possible) that in the cherry-pick dialog one could have a button "check" or "dry-run" that simulates the cherry-pick and give the user a hint if the cherry-pick can be performed without a conflict.
