The SegmentStoreStatisticsDataProvider is currently in an internal package (org.eclipse.tracecompass.internal.analysis.timing.core.segmentstore). In order to extend it to, for example customize the columns, it would be good to make it public API. 

Some API updates should be considered to make it easier to extend (e.g. for adding/removing of columns).
