Hi. If I modify the build.properties (e.g. add a new i18 propeties file) of an existing project, this action kicks off a new "Update plug-in dependencies" job. I have 1200 projects in my workspace and "Update plug-in dependencies" takes several minutes and basically my whole IDE is blocked. Why is this necessary? Thank you.
To clarify: the only property getting modified is "bin.includes".
How many of the projects are (transitive) dependent on the one on which you changed build.properties? Do you experience the same issue when you change build.properties of a "leaf" project?
There are no other projects depending on the project I did the change ("leaf" project)
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
