Created attachment 287257 [details] wrong quick fix If a static reference is done on a method that is not static, Eclipse suggests the quickfix "Surround with try/catch". you cant really catch a compile error. That's not how java works. In my case, the method was inside a record. I dont know if this is relevant. See screenshot
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
