Description Eike Stepper CLA 2021-08-29 03:38:55 EDT
Steps to reproduce:

1. Add the line "-Dname=Albert Einstein" to the eclipse.ini
2. Restart
3. Create a new target definition, choose "Default target for the running platform", make the name unique
4. Check the Arguments tab --> no quotes around Albert Einstein!
5. Save the target definition and make it active
6. Create an Eclipse Application launch config and launch it

You'll see this in the console:

Error: Could not find or load main class Einstein
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Einstein

I'll provide a Gerrit in a minute...

Ping.

What do you think about my proposal? Can we have this fixed in 4.22?
Comment 3 Mickael Istria CLA 2021-11-10 09:35:18 EST
Too late for 4.22.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
