seems to me, as if JBoss Tools Plugin (probably 4.19.0) brind IDE into a state, where no Software update is possible: Current Eclipse instance does not support software installation =============== eclipse.buildId=4.19.0.I20210303-1800 java.version=14.0.2 java.vendor=Oracle Corporation BootLoader constants: OS=win32, ARCH=x86_64, WS=win32, NL=de_DE Framework arguments: -product org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product Command-line arguments: -os win32 -ws win32 -arch x86_64 -debug -product org.eclipse.epp.package.jee.product org.jboss.tools.central Error Fri Aug 06 12:47:52 CEST 2021 Current Eclipse instance does not support software installation. org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core.ProvisionException: Current Eclipse instance does not support software installation. at org.jboss.tools.central.installation.InstallationChecker.<init>(InstallationChecker.java:76) at org.jboss.tools.central.installation.InstallationChecker.getInstance(InstallationChecker.java:84) at org.jboss.tools.central.editors.GettingStartedHtmlPage$6.run(GettingStartedHtmlPage.java:327) at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:63)
Created attachment 286897 [details] is this the origin of the problem or just one effect of it?
Is there any reason to believe this is a Oomph problem? The stack trace you show is purely org.jboss. The only thing I see with that string is this, but that's a test. org.eclipse.ui.tests.smartimport.ProjectTestTemplate.ignoredErrorsRegExp I'd suggest you ask about this on a JBoss forum or issues list...
