Description Craig Setera CLA 2004-03-30 13:35:57 EST
Since M7 (and with M8), I see sporadic cases where an error marker in a Java
compilation unit will not show up on the class within the package explorer.
This is the case, although the package will show an error marker associated with
the package. I just played a bit with this and it doesn't seem that I can
reproduce the problem when "show members" is set to true. I generally run with
"show members" set to false and that seems to be the only time it happens.

A reproducable case would be really helpful here.

Martin, we should keep an eye on this.

I'm not sure I can give you a reproduceable set of steps unfortunately. I can
however recreate it at will with my local workspace. Seeing as how this is work
code, I can't forward it to you. What can I do to help you guys narrow this
down? I'm attaching a screen shot of the problem "in action". I took this
screen shot this morning after receiving your update, so it is very easy for me
to recreate at this time. Who knows if they will continue. If it matters, I've
carried this workspace along for quite a while now. A fresh workspace might
clean things up, but I don't want to do that until you have gotten whatever
information you would like from the current failure.

I never had this reproducable and didn't see this lately.
Comment 5 Craig Setera CLA 2004-05-17 16:25:34 EDT
I haven't been coding much lately and I switched to including members in the
view. I haven't seen this problem lately. I'd say you can close this. If I
see it again, I will create a new report.
Comment 6 Martin Aeschlimann CLA 2004-05-17 16:44:09 EDT
ok, thanks. I keep it on REMIND
Comment 7 Denis Roy CLA 2009-08-30 02:07:16 EDT
As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
