Function used to push code to lambda (using AWS Toolkit)

Since v4.17, I am unable to push lambda to aws from Eclipse using the tooling. The error I get is
An internal error occurred during: "Uploading function code to Lambda".javax/xml/bind/JAXBException

To be clear this error also occurred before when using a JDK higher than 1.8 on my MAC. However, I was able to workaround using the -vm parameter to specify 1.8 as the JDK for Eclipse in eclipse.ini.
With v4.17, jdk 11 is required as a result this configuration does not work anymore

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
