I see the same problem with Java > Compiler > Errors/Warnings page.

It happens in 4.16 build also.

The filter width is fine for non-JDT pages like Colors and Fonts.

It works fine for JDT pages until Eclipse 4.11.

Also fine in 4.12. Broken since 4.13.

The regression is caused due to bug 321418. I will be reverting that patch to fix this issue.
