Description Knut Radloff CLA 2001-11-07 18:18:36 EST
build 20011025

When I search for references to the method
org.eclipse.swt.custom.StyledText.redrawRange using the outliner context menu I
get fewer hits than when searching using the Search dialog.
I have the projects org.eclipse.swt, org.eclipse.jdt.ui and org.eclipse.ui
loaded. I get two hits when using the Search dialog and 0 hits when using the
context menu.
Couldn't try this in the most recent build yet.

Same thing happens in the 20011106 build.
Comment 2 Philipe Mulet CLA 2002-02-12 17:01:42 EST
Search from context menus is using Java elements, which are slightly more
accurate than from the search page.

Now the Java UI is choosing either one or the other search API here.

Jerome - can you please double check the behavior for this particular one ?
Might be our referendum scenario, for which UI code has been tweaked already.
Comment 3 Jerome Lanneluc CLA 2002-02-13 11:49:44 EST
Verified that we find 2 matches in both cases (in build 20020212).
Closing.
