Currently debug.product enumerates required plugins that duplicates an effort to support it. The feature-based design would be preferrable but current features does not provide desired content, see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=548526#c13

The suggestion is to create a dedicated feature(s) to isolate unwanted platform content and start using desired CDT features "as is".
