Cannot launch simple "Eclipse 4 RCP application" exported with eclipse tool: First I create a RCP Application: - New / project / Plug-in Project / - Specify yes to "Create a rich application" - choose "Eclipse 4 RCP application" model. If I launch the application (right-click on RCPApplication.product, Run Application) that's ok. Then I export product - Export / Eclipse product Then I execute eclipse.exe of the exported product. Cannot launch simple "Eclipse 4 RCP application" exported with eclipse tool: First I created a RCP Application names RCPApplication: - New / project / Plug-in Project / - Specify yes to "Create a rich application" - choose "Eclipse 4 RCP application" model. If I launch the application (right-click on RCPApplication.product, Run Application) that's ok. Then I export product - Export / Eclipse product Then I execute eclipse.exe of the exported product. ... !STACK 0 org.eclipse.e4.core.di.InjectionException: Unable to process "CommandProcessingAddon.broker": no actual value was found for the argument "IEventBroker". at org.eclipse.e4.core.internal.di.InjectorImpl.reportUnresolvedArgument(InjectorImpl.java:485) at org.eclipse.e4.core.internal.di.InjectorImpl.resolveRequestorArgs(InjectorImpl.java:476) at org.eclipse.e4.core.internal.di.InjectorImpl.internalInject(InjectorImpl.java:128) ... This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. I encountered the same error when exporting an application on a more recent Eclipse. I found a note on a forum: "for Eclipse 2018-09 onwards org.apache.felix.scr replaces org.eclipse.equinox.ds and requires similar start level configuration.". Following this change in the .product file (the "Add Recommended... button also added the setting), the error no longer occurred for me.
