I installed plug-in to make Jasper Report by Elipse Version: 2019-06 (4.12.0)
When I tried to create new Jasper Report using new Data Adapter JDBC Postgres connection Eclipse never finish JDBC test connection. I did the same test using Jasper Studio framework (TIBCO Jaspersoft® Studio 6.11.0) and test finish well.

What's the name of that plug-in and who provides it?

Reason for asking: I doubt that JDT is to blame for the problem, but you should probably discuss this with the provider of the Jasper plug-in.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

This bug is old, involves another plug-in, and has no details on how to reproduce.  Since Bugzilla is no longer used I am closing this bug as WONTFIX.  Please open a new github issue if the problem still persists in latest Eclipse and the other project has determined it is a problem in JDT.
