Description Ed Willink CLA 2019-11-21 06:25:26 EST
Acceleo provides a main contribution to SimRel as:

    <features name="org.eclipse.acceleo.feature.group" versionRange="[3.7.0,3.8.0)">
      <categories href="simrel.aggr#//@customCategories[identifier='Modeling']"/>
    </features>

Good. It is named "Acceleo". Ok.

But the sources are hard to install...

    <features name="org.eclipse.acceleo.source.feature.group" versionRange="[3.7.0,3.8.0)"/>

... because there is no category. Please add the same category.

And when the user selects no categories in the installer, it is still hard to find. The sources are called "Acceleo Core SDK". Please chnage to a consistent 'old' name "Acceleo SDK", or a consistent 'new' (Tycho auto-generated) name "Acceleo Developer Resources".

number of projects using "developer resources" : 10
number of projects using "SDK" : 30+

Some projects decide to use both in there, but the very large majority still use SDK. If and when there is a decision to change the name, Acceleo will follow. For now this is only a personal preference and no reason to change.

We decided to remove the sources from the main category quite a while back since there was already too much noise in the simrel preventing normal users from finding what they needed. This could be changed now that oomph came into play, I might do it when next I have to change the aggregation for Acceleo.
