I hit this bug on the last month and half. With m2e-wtp 1.4.1 and mavenarchiver 0.17.2 , m2e-wtp ignores resources from maven proyects opened on eclipse workspace. This very frustrating as I use a lot maven overlays to share resouces like CSS, javascript, freemarker templates, etc, and this bug force me to copy these files by hand to the tomcat folder.

I verified that this happens on Eclipse Photon, 4.8, 4.9 and 4.11 if m2e-wtp is 1.4.1.

Looking if there is an update of m2e-wtp, I saw that for the incoming 1.4.2, you have updated to mavenarchiver 0.17.4 . So, I try to force eclipse to use this version... and fixed the issue !!

So, please, release 1.4.2 with this fix ASAP!

Meanwhile, anyone hitting this problem could force mavenarchiver 0.17.4 using the url "http://download.eclipse.org/m2e-wtp/signed/mavenarchiver/0.17.4/" as source for mavenarchiver and doing an update.
