An action should easily allow to add a node between two other nodes in the activity and StateMachine diagram.

For example, if there are two states (S1 and S2) in a StateMachine which are connected together by a transition (S1 -> S2). It should be interesting to be able to easily add a third state (S3) between S1 and S2. The result should be 3 nodes connected with transition  like: S1 -> S3 -> S2.

Maybe this action should not be limited to Activity and State Machine diagrams. It could be interesting in other diagrams too.
