Description Kunle Gbadamosi CLA 2018-10-13 22:11:53 EDT
Old eclipse version Eclipse Java Oxygen works with 2d game graphics but new version gives an java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: input == null! at java.desktop/javax.imageio.ImageIO.read(Unknown Source) exception. I noticed BufferedImage is purple now from the pink. Did the new version change that in any way creating a problem. I tried on the new version with no success but then went back to the old version of eclipse and the 2d game worked perfectly fine.

An IllegalArgumentExcept at runtime sounds more like a library issue (JRE?) than a tooling issue (JDT).

If you still think this is a bug, please provide more details, like, e.g.:
- Which JRE did you use with Oxygen, which JRE do you use now?
- What is the full stacktrace of the exception?

etc.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
