Hi,

Currently, Tables have a Documentation field, as well as Tools, but lines and columns of a table have none, neither mappings.
It would be nice that every element have such a Documentation field.

Furthermore, although the odesign file is  a XMI, it would be nice to provide an API allowing to retrieve those Documentation fields for example with M2DOC in order to genrate the documentation of the wiewpoint

Indeed, DLine and DColumn could inherits DocumentedElement to have a Documentation field in a future release.

I am not sure to understand your issue to retrieve the documentation fields. The ODesign is an EMF model, if an element inherits DocumentedElement, the documentation field is available for documentation generation with M2Doc.
