Description Cydnie Smith CLA 2018-08-30 10:27:33 EDT
We'll use this bug to track the release

We require IP Team approval of the IP Log.

We require PMC approval of the release and review materials.

Comment 2 Christian Dietrich CLA 2018-09-03 05:56:07 EDT
Iplog is here https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=17419

Did not get any feedback so far. I find it annoying that orbit doing up relevant changes between m3 and rc1 forced us to do changes that made it impossible to create the iplog intime

> Did not get any feedback so far.

Eclipse Xtext has a large number of files on the download server, so doing a complete scan takes a while. I've left a question on the CQ that I need an answer to, please.
Comment 4 Wayne Beaton CLA 2018-09-04 08:59:05 EDT
The IP Log is approved.

Cydnie, please schedule the review. Let's adjust the release date to September 19/2018 (which is the 2018-09 Simultaneous Release review date).
Comment 5 Cydnie Smith CLA 2018-09-04 09:07:23 EDT
I have scheduled this review to conclude on September 12.

Wayne, I have changed release date to September 19.
Comment 6 Christian Dietrich CLA 2018-09-04 09:10:35 EDT
we need a release this week (=today) to get something for 2018-09
Comment 7 Christian Dietrich CLA 2018-09-04 09:21:03 EDT
=> are we allowed to build a release today so that we have something to contribute?
Comment 8 Wayne Beaton CLA 2018-09-04 14:42:49 EDT

> we need a release this week (=today) to get something for 2018-09

You need to push your final bits to the aggregate repository. Please do that.

These will be considered a final release candidate until the release date; at that time, they will be considered your GA.
Comment 9 Cydnie Smith CLA 2018-09-05 07:57:49 EDT
I have amended release review to conclude on September 19, as reviews only occur on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Comment 10 Christian Dietrich CLA 2018-09-05 08:38:28 EDT
first Wednesday would have been today?
Comment 11 Cydnie Smith CLA 2018-09-05 09:03:33 EDT
My apologies, I should have said release reviews conclude on the 1st or 3rd Wednesday of the month.

Depending on when approvals are received, release reviews conclude within a week or greater.

Because IP approval was received September 4, the release review will conclude on September 19, 2018 - the third Wednesday of the month.

For more information about the release process, check out our handbook [1]!

The Eclipse 2018-09 is released, and Xtext 2.15 as part of it. We have solved the release blocker Bug#539108.

Please update the release review. I hope there is nothing left to do, otherwise we do not know how to proceed when it would be unsuccessful.
Comment 13 Cydnie Smith CLA 2018-09-19 11:18:29 EDT
I declare this review successful! Please continue with your release.
Comment 14 Karsten Thoms CLA 2018-09-19 11:21:46 EDT
Thanks, Cydnie! We now proceed with the remaining tasks.
