When creating a CombinedFragment on a Lifeline without specifying a size (e.g. by simply clicking on the Lifeline when the CF Palette tool is enabled), the CF is fully contained in the lifeline bounds. Since the Lifeline is in front of the CF, it is impossible to select the CF.

More generally, CFs are difficult to select, because the Lifeline selection tool covers the entire bounds of the lifeline, rather than just the area around the body or header, and Lifelines are always in front (Which is fine; the real issue being the wide selection bounds).
