Eclipse is offering to convert to var

Just install a fresh install of the latest version Oxygen 3a (4.7.3a) .

Try to use var and I am getting:
 
'var' is not allowed here

Works for me using http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/R-4.7.3a-201803300640/

Two directions to investigate:

- please attach a complete (minimal) project

- please let us know, what exactly you installed (SDK, a package, which?),
  ideally backed with a list of plug-ins and their versions
  (from About > Installation Details ...)

Thanks for the response problem solved.
Must be a pilot error....

Steps taken:

- Download eclipse-jee-oxygen-3a-win32-x86_64.zip from a mirror (Germany - University of Erlangen-Nuremberg).
- Verify the download (sha-512) .
- Unzip to a new folder .
- Run Eclipse and create a new workspace.

Just found out that the cause of the problem is lombok !!
