Description Mat Hansen CLA 2018-04-10 11:38:58 EDT
When creating a new control i.e. by clicking on a layout and select "Create control" a child control is added correctly. However, the selection remains on the layout element, rather than switching to the newly created control.
Comment 1 Lucas Koehler CLA 2018-06-15 11:07:51 EDT
Changed the bug title to "Tree Master Detail does not select newly created elements" because this is a general missing feature in the tree master detail.

Whenever a new element is created that is shown in the tree, this element should automatically be selected after its creation. In case multiple elements are added at once, the first one of the elements should be selected.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

The problem is still there - with EMF Forms 1.25

Hi Pavel,
yes unfortunately this bug was never fixed.
We would love to accept a contribution for this.

Best,
Eugen
