In which editor did you see this?

We can't/won't do anything with additional information/steps.
Comment 2 Patrick Tasse CLA 2018-03-22 14:27:04 EDT
I was in Debug perspective, clicking on a stack element in the Debug view which opens the corresponding Java class in the editor.

There is a popup:

Problem Occurred
'Debug Source Display' has encountered a problem.
An internal error has occurred.

The popup appears very often as I click on different stack elements.

Can you find a pattern?
Comment 4 Patrick Tasse CLA 2018-04-04 12:58:25 EDT
This stopped happening for me. I've had problems with broken Java index causing out of memory errors, maybe something got corrupted and it got fixed when I cleared the jdt.core folder in my workspace metadata.

Perhaps this can be closed, unless you feel that somewhere in the stack it should have protected against the NullPointerException?
