If I put the caret to a method in an interface or super class and hit F4 to call type hierarchy and then select a sub class, that overrides this method, the method is selected in the list view below the tree view of type hierarchy, BUT the selected entry is not scrolled into view. Additionally the method selection will not work anymore if you select a (sub) class, that does not override this method and then select one, that does.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
For posterity: I never had any problems with method selection in the type hierarchy, because when I'm interested in a specific method I immediately click the "Lock View and Show Members in Hierarchy" button, which works like a charm, can only recommend using it :)
Ok, I will try that button. Though the bug still persists. So, I will reopen the ticket.
