Hi, I am trying to install SysML Incubation from Help > Install Papyrus Additional Components. The system tries to install for a few seconds and gives me this error message. I have installed Java 8 update 151. Error Message: null org.eclipse.papyrus.infra.discovery.ui Error Thu Jan 11 11:57:20 MST 2018 Problems occurred while performing installation: Operation details org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException: Operation details at org.eclipse.papyrus.infra.discovery.ui.internal.common.PrepareInstallProfileJob.resolve(PrepareInstallProfileJob.java:135) at org.eclipse.papyrus.infra.discovery.ui.internal.common.PrepareInstallProfileJob.run(PrepareInstallProfileJob.java:98) at org.eclipse.jface.operation.ModalContext$ModalContextThread.run(ModalContext.java:119) Contains: Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. IMHO: this additional component mechanism should have been removed years ago. I will try to test this use case. In the meantime: Did you try using Eclipse Market place? https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/papyrus-sysml-14 Or the update site? http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/papyrus/components/sysml14/oxygen/
Hi Benoit, Thanks so much for the tip. The update site works. In this case I used SysML Neon version as Eclipse version is Neon. thanks, Madhav.
Hi, Discovery will be removed from Photon version, so it is not intended to fix previous bug with this mechanism. Recommended ways are Eclipse Market Place and update sites. /Benoît
