The IP Team on behalf of LocationTech Geomesa has requested Board Approval as follows: The LocationTech Geomesa project has a new requirement to redistribute several third party libraries for working with OpenStreetMap data. The previous approval for Locationtech’s use of LGPL content [1] did not encompass these libraries. As a result, LocationTech seeks the approval to redistribute the following libraries under the LGPL (non version specific) : CQ 11792 - Osm4j Version: 0.0.18 (various) CQ 11793 - melon-io Version: 0.0.1 CQ 11794 - large-scale-file-io Version: 0.0.1 CQ 11795 - jts-utils Version: 0.0.4 CQ 11796 - de.topobyte:jsi Version: 1.1.0 CQ 11797 - de.topobyte:dynsax Version: 0.0.1 CQ 11798 - de.topobyte:compact-io Version: 0.0.5 CQ 11799 - de.topobyte:adt-geo Version: 0.0.2 CQ 11800 - de.topobyte:adt-graph Version: 0.0.1 CQ 11801 - de.topobyte:adt-multicollections Version: 0.0.3 CQ 11803 - net.sf.trove4j:trove4j Version: 3.0.3 Further, we have also asked whether or not general LGPL approval can be granted. We have been advised this item has been added to the January 2017 Board Meeting Agenda. Please note it was not possible to add this request to the December meeting as the November agenda had to be merged into December's meeting due to an unfortunate matter causing the November Meeting to be cancelled. Thanks for understanding. Regards, Sharon
