Created attachment 271240 [details] Help Menu I am using Ubuntu 14.04 and Java 8. I installed Eclipse IDE for Java Developers (Version: Photon Milestone 2 (4.8.0M2)) from eclipse installer. Marketplace client is missing from Help Menu. Due to that I am unable to search & install plugins.
I can reproduce the issue on MacOs: When downloading Eclipse IDE for Java developers in simple mode, I can see the downloaded IDE has the marketplace menu. When downloading Eclipse IDE for Java Developers in advanced mode, choosing the product version: Latest (Photon), the downloaded IDE has no Marketplace Menu. Steps to reproduce: With Oomph: - First, in simple mode, I downloaded Eclipse Eclipse IDE for Java Developers : build information: Eclipse IDE for Java Developers Version: Oxygen.1a Release (4.7.1a) Build id: 20171005-1200 OS: Mac OS X, v.10.12.6, x86_64 / cocoa ==> Observe there is the Marketplace entry - Then, in advanced mode, I downloaded Eclipse IDE for Java Developers product version: Latest (Photon) build information: Eclipse IDE for Java Developers Version: Photon Milestone 2 (4.8.0M2) Build id: 20170922-0530 OS: Mac OS X, v.10.12.6, x86_64 / cocoa ==> Observe there is not the marketplace entry
Moving to EPP to check. Platform does not deal with the Marketplace.
Sure, I removed MPC because it is not (yet) available in any of the Photon milestones. Moving to MPC to give them a ping for the next milestone.
