Project 1: package pack.test; import pack.one.XOne; import pack.two.ITwo; public class X { public ITwo i2; public XOne X1; } Project Two: package pack.one; import pack.two.ITwo; public class XOne { public ITwo itwo; } package pack.two; public interface ITwo {} Make this project 2 a jar without source attachment and then from Project1, select ITwo - the type reference of field itwo not found. With source attachment this works.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie.
Manoj, can you clarify what you mean with "the type reference of field itwo not found"? Is it right-click -> References -> Project/Workspace? If so this seems to work in Eclipse 4.27.
