when starting monitoring the ide iterates over all devices of the system and tries to connect. for each device it can not connect it writes an exception to the console. this exception should be catched an icon overlay should be added to the specific device, which specifies that this device is not monitored. in case there are not monitored devices within the system the icon overlay of the system should get orange, otherwise green.
