When I click on the down arrow on the drop-down menu, it takes more than 1 second before the list of launch configurations showing on the screen.

That is probably because I have many launch configurations on my working workspace.  I have tried it on another Windows machine where I have only one launch configuration, and it responded instantly.

Anyway, if the number of launch configurations matters, then the mechanism for showing launch configurations does not scale well.
