Description Roland Illig CLA 2017-06-23 09:17:46 EDT
https://eclipse.org/aspectj/doc/released/progguide/semantics-pointcuts.html#pattern-summary

The section "Pattern Summary" lists some grammar rules, but these rules don't mention annotations at all, although these are part of the grammar since more than 10 years.

Since the progguide has probably not been touched since 2003, it should not be listed at all on the page https://eclipse.org/aspectj/doc/released/index.html.

Also, on https://eclipse.org/aspectj/docs.php, mentioning "AspectJ 5" although the current version is 1.8 looks rather antique.

I won't deny the docs need a refresh, but all the annotation related material is in the AspectJ developers notebook if that is what you are looking for:

https://eclipse.org/aspectj/doc/next/adk15notebook/

After that I'm afraid changes since then are catalogued across all the readmes with each release, they haven't been folded into the mainline docs (very overdue also).
