We'll use this bug to track the release

We require IP Team approval of the IP Log.

We require PMC approval of the release and review materials.

Adding Fred since I don't believe that the project leads are active.

Fred, the commit log for the last year seems to indicate that this should be a service release. AFAICT, there is no new functionality.

Should we mark this as such?

Otherwise, are you able to engage in the review activities on behalf of the project team?

Indeed, this is more of a service release, even though the version was automatically bumped to 1.8 last summer (after Neon's release), there was no new feature added.

Yes, I'm fine with participating to the reviewing activities for m2e

I've marked the 1.8 release as a service release. Note that there is no specific requirement to change the version number to reflect a service release.

If it's a service release, there's nothing to do here.
