Now that Launch Group is in Platform it needs to be removed from CDT. Bug 517722 marked it as Deprecated for the Oxygen release cycle. I (based on Elena's advice in Bug 517722 Comment 5) will propose removing it entirely in next simrel release, June 2018.

This hasn't been done because CDT does not have a process for deleting API without new major version. So this should be targetted at next major version?
