Description Stephan Herrmann CLA 2017-05-28 10:44:31 EDT
The interaction of deprecation at the call site vs. the referenced element is probably not correct as of bug 517326.

See the table in http://openjdk.java.net/jeps/277 and details in JLS 9.6.4.6

@Stephan: moving this out of the now stale BETA_JAVA 9 target to 4.8 - please feel free to change the target/assignee.

Target is fine. I just moved my name from assignee to QA contact, to indicate that I won't mind s.o. else taking over, but still I'll keep an eye on it.

Not sure if this will make it for 4.8. Moving out.

Stephan, hope you are fine with this.

That's fine. Thanks.

Bulk move out of 4.9

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
