If you create a new bower.json file with the Bower Init wizard it will be opened automatically in the editor after creation.
However if you already have another bower.json file (from another project) open in the editor, the newly created file will not open, but instead the other one will be put on focus. This really leads to confusions and you can edit the wrong file.
