Description sLancaster CLA 2017-05-18 19:10:24 EDT
Cut (ctrl+x) and paste (ctrl+v) are not working in the java editor whenever code validation has highlighted a warning or error within the same editor. Testing has shown that copy (ctrl+c) does work, and cut will still delete the highlighted text, but the clipboard has been emptied (even of previous text copied or cut).

This works fine for me using
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/R-4.6.3-201703010400/
and a fresh workspace.

Can you please try that?

Maybe you've installed a plug-in that interferes here? Maybe you're using some clipboard manager?

Are you on that machine or is it a virtual machine?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
